Popular music video director, Marty Callner, has died aged 78.
Callner who was a 12-time Emmy nominee, directed a myriad of music videos including Aerosmith's 'Sweet Emotion', 'Cryin', and Dude (Looks Like A Lady)' Pat Benatar's 'We Belong', Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It', Whitesnake's 'Here I Go Again', Stevie Nicks 'Stand Back', Britney Spears 'Anticipating', Cher's 'If I Could Turn Back Time' among others.
The director also worked with famous names like Bon Jovi, Heart, Diana Ross, Scorpions, Patti LaBelle, ZZ Top, Kiss and others.
As well as creating HBO series Hard Knocks, which was hailed as the “first sports-based reality series”, Marty Callner also directed TV comedy specials, including HBO's On Location, featuring George Carlin, Steve Martin, Norm Crosby, Chevy Chase. He also went on to film HBO's Young Comedians, starring Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Jerry Seinfield, Howe Mendal and others.
Callner was also offered chances to direct TV specials for Williams, Seinfield, Dane Cook, Whoopi Goldberg, and more.
