It comes after the Tánaiste apologised to the Dáil last night for sharing a confidential document with his friend, Dr Maitiu O Tuathail, from a doctors union.
Varadkar spent almost two hours in the Dáil discussing the controversy.
During the exchanges Aontú leader Peadar Toibin questioned whether the Tánaiste had leaked other information. Fianna Fáil TD Jim O’Callaghan says the Tánaiste should have known what he was doing was not right.
Leo Varadkar said he did not have anything to gain by sharing the confidential GP contract with Dr O Tuathail and distanced himself from the GP. The Tánaiste said, “In terms of our friendship, we are friends. But there are friends and there are friends. We are not close friends.”
