Liam Gallagher and John Squire have once again teased a collaborative album, with a video and official website.
The pair have been cooking up a collaboration for a while now, with Gallagher bringing Squire out onto the stage during his Knebworth Shows last Summer.
“Super group incoming LG JS,”, Gallagher even posted on X formerly known as Twitter at the time.
Following this, Gallagher hinted earlier this year that a collaboration between the pair was in the works, telling a reporter, “Yeah. Serious, man. But we’ve got things to do first, and he’s got things to clear up and that. But yeah, I’m definitely going to do summat at some point”.
“without a doubt”
Yesterday (December 18), Liam Gallagher hailed former Stone Roses bandmember Squire as “the best guitarist of his generation and in the world”, alongside a video clip of Squire playing guitar from years gone by, and even joining Oasis on stage.
“John Squire without a doubt the best guitarist of his generation and in the world in my opinion”, Gallagher can be heard saying in the video.
The former Oasis singer also shared a link to gallaghersquire.com in his Instagram bio, giving fans a chance to sign up for their mailing list, to access more information.
There were no announcements regarding a release date or a joint LP at the time of writing.
Earlier this month, Liam Gallagher also confirmed that he will take his 30th anniversary ‘Definitely Maybe’ tour to Limerick’s Thomand Park.
The show takes place on 14 July next year. More on this from Nova here.
