Liam Gallagher is due to take part in a live Q&A session right before the first screening of the new Oasis documentary, ‘Supersonic’, premieres in cinemas.
Gallagher will be joined by director of the film, Mat Whitecross, to answer questions from fans in cinemas across the UK. The Q&A will happen just before the first screening of the documentary.
The film, which will be released in cinemas across the UK on October 14th, will also be available on DVD and Blu-Ray at the end of October.
‘Supersonic’ shows the band’s rise between 1993 and 1996, up as far as their performance at Knebworth. The film was co-produced by Asif Kapadia, director of Amy, and features interviews with the whole band and others around them.
Speaking of the film, director Whitecross said “We did 12 interviews with Noel and the same with Liam. We did about 20 hours with both of them. We’d talk to Noel and Liam and it was like we’d created a conversation between them even though they weren’t in the same room. “
Although the on-going feud between the Gallagher brothers is well known, Whitecross said that the two did not let it affect their honesty within the interviews “I realised they were both trying to be as honest as possible about it. Noel was very open. It’s pretty amazing some of the things he says about Liam. He said Liam was better looking than me and funnier than me and he wore better clothes than me but he wants my talent.”
