Liam Gallagher has denied that Oasis are on the verge of releasing their first album in 15 years.
Ahead of their highly anticipated tour next year, Liam Gallagher had been hinting that new Oasis music was also imminent.
The singer had previously said that fans would be "blown away" by new music which had been allegedly created by the band. He also said that he and his brother Noel had already put the finishing touches to this new album.
Saying that a new album was “in the air”, Gallagher said: “It’s in the bag mate f**k the air”. More on this story from Nova here.
However, Liam Gallagher has dismissed these rumours, saying that he was "only joking".
“Let’s just calm the f*** down there is no Oasis album in the making,” he said.
“I was f****** joking remember them and the reason being because everyone is a little uptight these days I’m sorry if I have upset anyone but f*** me it was a laugh".
Last week, Liam Gallagher stated that Oasis will "be as good" as they once were.
This comes after Gallagher responded to a question from a fan who asked if Oasis would match the standards they had previously set.
He wrote: “Got asked a ridiculous question yesterday so are OASIS gonna be as good as you once were because when sone bands get back together there not as good I said listen here you C*** even on our bad day we’ll still wipe the floor with majority of bands out there”.
