Liam Gallagher has said that he will not perform any Oasis or Stone Roses songs while on tour with John Squire.
The former Oasis singer has ruled out the possibility when speaking to radio DJ Johnny Vaughan.
The pair’s new single ‘Mars To Liverpool’ can also be pre saved here.
They had earlier released debut track ‘Just Another Rainbow’, which arrived a few weeks ago.
Gallagher and Squire recently announced their much anticipated self-titled debut LP, as well as several tour dates. Their album will arrive on March 1.
On top of this, Liam Gallagher confirmed that himself and Squire were also working on a second album.
“The guitar fights back,” Squire simply said, with Gallagher chiming in, “If John comes up with another load of songs that are banging, they’ll get it as well”.

“not doing any of that”
Speaking to Vaughan, Liam Gallagher went on to say that the duo will not perform any material from their respective bands on this upcoming tour.
“Nah, not doing any of that. It’s gonna be just this album and maybe a few covers that we might get round to doing, but it won’t be our other bands and that, ‘cause that’s naff,”, Gallagher said.
“No, them songs mean too much to me man for me to be howling over. I wouldn’t mind howling over the Oasis ones and that”.
When asked if performing this material would feel like “big league karaoke”, the singer replied, “No, but they just mean too much to me”.
Elsewhere in the interview, Liam Gallagher revealed that his favourite Stone Roses tune is ‘I Am The Resurrection’, before adding “‘Waterfall’, ‘Made of Stone’, all of them. I like all the backwards stuff as well… ‘The Foz’. That’s a beauty”.
Last month, Liam Gallagher also confirmed that he would be taking his ‘Definitely Maybe’ tour to Limerick’s Thomond Park, to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary.
