It’s been a great week so far for long-lost bootlegs appearing online, first a rare Talking Heads concert surfaces online, now it’s a 25 year old Nirvana Bootleg.
The concert took place on January 12th 1990, at the Satyricon venue in Portland, Oregen.
What makes the story even more intriguing is that this is allegedly the night at which Nirvana’s singer Kurt Cobain first met a loud, brash, wild young lady named Courtney Love.
The whole gig was uploaded to YouTube by a man who claims he was at the show and taped it.
The video’s description says: “I was there. I recorded their set. And I put it away in a box of tapes. Today marks the 25th anniversary and it seems like the right time to let people hear this. Enjoy and Play Loud. Recording is raw in accordance with the equipment and tape used at the time.”
The fifty-five minute concert featured songs such as ‘Floyd The Barber’, ‘Polly’, ‘Breed’ and ‘Negative Creep’. Also the drummer for the show was the Melvins’ drummer Dale Crover.

Yesterday, it was revealed that a more unreleased Nirvana music will feature in the upcoming documentary about Kurt Cobain. The movie is titled ‘Montage of Heck’, after the singer’s recently unearthed mixtape, and it’s produced by Kurt’s daughter Frances Bean.
