It has been confirmed that Matt Johnson, singer and long-time member of The The, has been announced to perform for Wider Than Pictures at the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks.
Johnson's band The The will perform at this venue this Sunday (August 25), bringing their Ensouled world tour to Dublin this year.
This also marks the first time that this band will be bringing their tour to Dublin, since their hugely successful Comeback Special world tour in 2018.
The tour itself will bring together members from different eras of The The's history, including Johnson.
Ahead of this show, Matt Johnson also chatted tour our very own Marty Miller from Marty@Work.
Looking ahead to Sunday's show, Johnson also reflected on previous gigs that he played on Irish soil, including Dublin's Iveagh Gardens.
Johnson also offered a preview into what fans can expect at this weekend's show.
Speaking of songs, Johnson also reflected on music from The The which caused a stir with the establishment in the past, including certain songs that were banned by BBC radio.
Speaking of Collins Baracks, Deacon Blue also recently announced a show at the venue, which takes place on Friday (August 23). More on this here.
