Ireland will see sub zero temperatures again tonight, with Met Eireann warning motorists to be cautious of the glaring sun and icy roads.

The forecaster said the sun is low at this time of year which can impair a driver's sight.

A Status Yellow low temperature warning is in place for the entire country from 5pm today until 11am Friday.

A yellow alert for snow is in place for Donegal, with the UK Met Office issuing the same warning for Antrim, Fermanagh, Down, Tyrone and Derry.
