Gardaí are investigating serious damage to the statute of Phil Lynott in Dublin city centre, which sustained a large crack along it’s middle after being pushed over.
Two men in their 20s were arrested and later released by Gardaí last night, after handing themselves in at Pearse Street Garda Station.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The statue of the Thin Lizzy frontman has been removed from its position near Grafton Street, for repairs.
