Gardaí have arrested a man in his 50s in connection with the disappearance and suspected murder of Jo Jo Dullard.
Jo Jo, was a 21-year-old woman who went missing nearly three decades ago.
She was last seen on November 9, 1995, after a night out in Dublin.
As she was returning home to Callan, Co Kilkenny, she missed her bus to Kilkenny and instead took a bus to Naas, where she began hitchhiking to cover the remaining distance.
She was last heard from in Moone, Co Kildare, after making a brief phone call to a friend, the final known contact before her disappearance.
This weekend, her family marked the 29th anniversary of her disappearance, and Gardaí issued a renewed appeal for information.
What started as a missing person case, was upgraded to a murder investigation in 2020 on the 25th anniversary.
The man Gardai have arrested is being questioned at a Garda station in Co. Kildare.
