A man has been arrested in connection with a mass brawl in Ballyfermot yesterday.
The Garda Armed Support Unit had to be called to the scene on Clifden Drive in the middle of the afternoon.
This fight began close to Cherry Orchard Park at around 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon.
A large number of young people were involved in the incident, two of them – who are aged in their mid 20s- recieved serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Others were also injured in the melee. Solidarity- People Before Profit TD for the area Brid Smith stated that this kind of incident is unprecedented.
One man in his 30s was arrested under public order offences in connection with the incident.
Deputy Smith slammed the government claiming that they need to start investing in the area again to prevent this kind of thing happening.
