A man charged with the murder of Michael Tormey in Ballyfermot in Dublin, is to face trial in the Central Criminal Court.
The 49-year-old father of three was found on his driveway at Thomond Road in the early hours of January 9th, after suffering gunshot wounds to his back and chest.
40-year-old Christopher Devine of Convent Lawns in Ballyfermot, was charged with his murder and was remanded in custody following a court appearance on January 19th.
The High Court granted him bail in February, and he faced his latest hearing at Dublin District Court today.
The judge said the DPP had directed for trial on indictment in the Central Criminal Court.
At his first hearing, Detective Sergeant Ronan O'Reilly told the court, Mr Devine "made no reply to the charge".
