A man has died after following a stabbing in a night club.
The incident took place between a number of men at the Shannon Knights Night Club in Tullyvarraga at around 2 o'clock this morning.
Two men were injured and taken to University Hospital Limerick, one of them - a 23 year old man - was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post mortem is expected to take place later today.
A 19 year old man has been arrested in connection with the attack and is being held at Shannon Garda station.
Gardai in Shannon are appealing for anyone who was in the Shannon Knights Night Club last night to contact them or any Garda Station.
