Gardaí have charged a man in connection with the serious assault of two off duty officers in Dublin. He's due in court this morning following the attack over the weekend.
One of the off-duty officers, a man in his 40s, was critically injured in the assault at the junction of Dame Street and Eustace Street in the early hours of Saturday.
The other man was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.
In a statement, gardaí said that a man in his 30s arrested over the assault has been charged and is to appear in court on Tuesday.
