Man Hospitalised After Temple Bar Knife Attack

A man (20s) has been hospitalised following a knife attack in Dublin’s Temple Bar area last night (Thursday).

The stabbing happened shortly before 9.30pm on Fishamble Street, near Christchurch Cathedral.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident and the man, who sustained injuries to his hand, was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment.

The injuries were not described as life-threatening.

A Garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing, and urged anyone with information to contact Kevin Street Station on 01 666 9400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
