Gardaí are investigating after a man was shot twice with a handgun in Dublin. A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after receiving shots to his leg in Coolock.
Gardaí claim the victim was shot two times with a handgun by a man who came at him from a car at Belcamp Crescent. The shooting happened at around 7.30pm last night.
According to witnesses, a silver Volkswagen Boro pulled up right beside the man and a passenger got out of the vehicle.
According to reports, there is no description of the shooter available and the car then sped from the scene.
The young victim was rushed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital where it's believed his injuries are non-life-threatening.
Gardaí are performing a technical examination at the scene and house to house enquiries have begun in the area where the shooting took place.
