A daylight stabbing in Finglas in Dublin has been described as a ‘brazen attack‘ to test gardai.
A man in his 40s was seriously injured on Main Street at 10.30 yesterday morning.
He was taken to the Mater University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Local councillor Anthony Connaghan says the incident has cut to the core of the community:
”We’re shocked and appalled that something like that would happen in Finglas village and it’s not reflective of the whole community, although there has been a lot of anti-social incidents over the years, this is basically striking into the heart of the community. It’s almost testing the gardai, they’re so brazen, these criminals are so brazen to attack someone in broad daylight.”
