A woman who was in a comatose vegetative state for over ten years at a private health centre in America shocked staff when she went into labour just after Christmas. The woman gave birth to a healthy baby on December 29th. A police investigation was subsequently launched.
Now, every male worker at the US care centre will have to give their DNA to police. Authorities issued a search warrant at the health facility on Tuesday to obtain DNA from the male employees in Phoenix.
According to reports, Hacienda HealthCare approved of the move to carry out DNA testing of employees. In a statement from the centre, they said they, “will continue to cooperate with Phoenix Police and all other investigative agencies to uncover the facts in this deeply disturbing, but unprecedented situation.”
Legal Representatives of the woman’s family said her relatives were extremely angry at the “neglect of their daughter” adding they would like it to be known that “the baby boy has been born into a loving family and will be well cared for”.
