Today will be sunny…but that’s about it! Met Eireann was warned of a downturn as spells of “good sunshine” could turn to “heavy showers, hail, and risk of thunder” in a matter of days.
We’ve been experiencing some great weather so far this week and that will continue this Wednesday. It will remain bright and fresh with perhaps maybe just some windy conditions later on.
However, heavy showers are going to develop from Thursday, and hail and thunder looks possible.
According to Met Eireann: “Today will be largely dry in Dublin with good sunshine. Highest temperatures of 13 or 14 degrees with moderate southwest winds.
Mainly dry with good sunshine this morning.Scattered showers in the west. These will extend eastwards today & will mainly affect the western half of the country. Eastern coastal counties will stay dry. Highs of 11 to 15C with moderate SW winds, strengthening on the W coast later. pic.twitter.com/X0EUEuWUr6

“Tonight will become quite blustery as south to southwest winds freshen. It will be mainly dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 6 or 7 degrees.
“Thursday will start off dry with sunny spells. However heavy showers will spread from the south during the morning and will continue for the rest of the day.
“Some of these will merge to longer spells of rain with a risk of thunder and hail. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with fresh, gusty southerly winds.”
Unfortunately, the national forecast for Friday predicts we could be in for some heavy rain, hail, and even thunder.
