The latest act to be added to the MusiCares benefit concert has been confirmed as Metallica. They will play at the concert in honor of Ozzy Osbourne who will be picking up the Stevie Ray Vaughan award at the 10th anniversary of the event.
Ozzy is being recognised for his support of the MusiCares fund and also for his commitment to helping other addicts like himself that have struggled with addiction and recovery.
Ozzy says:
“I know firsthand about the ravages of addiction, and I also know that the MusiCares MAP Fund is a vital safety net for people in the music industry who need help with substance abuse. This organization literally saves lives.”
The event will take place at Club Nokia in LA on the 12th of May.
