Mick Jagger Makes First Public Appearance Since Surgery

Rolling Stones frontman, Mick Jagger has made his first appearance in public ever since receiving surgery on his heart earlier this month.

The NME reports that Jagger had heart valve replacement surgery at New York’s Presbyterian Hospital. As a result of the operation, Jagger was forced to postpone a number of live dates with The Stones.

Earlier this month, the singer thanked fans thanks for their support after the procedure. Jagger also shared a photo of himself on the mend and captioned a photo “A walk in the park.”

Now, according to reports Jagger was in attendance at the premiere of his partner Melanie Hamrick’s new ballet which is running in New York. The Hollywood Reporter, tells us that Jagger remained backstage for the opening night on April 18th of Porte Rouge.

The ballet comprises of dance routines choreographed to Stones classics, ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ and ‘Paint It Black’.

The Stones frontman made his presence known when addressed the audience over the PA. “Mick Jagger here. Hope you enjoy this wonderful new ballet and the music,” he told the audience.

According to an attendee who was backstage, the singer stayed out of sight as he “didn’t quite look like Mick Jagger” after his recent surgery. A source said that Jagger reportedly stayed for the entire performance and congratulated dancers.
