A Cork woman whose missing cat was found an astonishing 85 kilometres away from home had resorted to using a “cat medium” to help find her pet.
‘Barney’ the Burmese went missing from his home in Douglas, and hadn’t been seen for almost two and a half weeks before he was found in far-flung Bantry.
The exertions saw the tiddles lose around a kilo in weight as part of his western adventure.
His owner Emily O’Donoghue took on a medium in a bid to find Barney, but they didn’t think the cat had strayed too far from home, as Emily recounted.
“She asked you various things about him, where does he usually go about, what does he do, is he microchipped, all that kind of stuff“.
“And then she does two readings with him – two ‘communications’ she calls them”.
“Then she sends you mappings and where you should start looking. Which were all around where we live“.
