Former Smiths singer Morrissey has spoken about his recent health problems revealing he "officially died". The incident occurred during a tour of South America in 2013.

The outspoken singer had to cancel gigs in Peru and Chile following what appeared to be food poisoning. However, he recently told an interviewer that the sickness was far more serious and he died for nearly 10 minutes. In typical Morrissey humour, the singer described the experience as "fun".

The singer also announced in October of last year that he underwent a number of cancer-related treatments.

Morrissey has also commented on Ireland's historic passing of the Marriage Referendum in May of this year. He congratulated the country but has warned that Ireland must get rid of fur farms to "welcome" themselves to the 21st century.

The singer also believes that United States President Barack Obama isn't doing enough to help black people.  The 'Suedehead' singer has had his say on the recent justice scandals in the America saying, "Obama has mystified me because he doesn’t appear to support black people when they need it most." He also accused Obama of being "white inside".
