The line up for the returning Glastonbury festival has been announced. Fans along with musicians have also been giving their reactions.
It will also be headlined by Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar. Paul McCartney confirmed he would headline the festival. More on this from Nova here.
Emily Eavis made this announcement on Friday (4 March).
“We are very happy to bring you the first shortlist of artists from the main stages for the Festival 2022 – and if you can believe it there’s even more to come!”, she wrote.

Other acts performing at the festival also include Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Fontaines D.C, Sam Fender, and others.
“back in those fields”
Following this announcement regarding the line up, musicians and fans have been sharing the delight at the return of the festival for the first time since 2019.
“We can’t wait to be back in those fields”, IDLES wrote. Meanwhile, Years & Years, St Vincent, also shared their excitement about the festival.

Ahead of this festival in June, Michael Eavis said that it will be the “best show ever”.
