Myles Kennedy has hinted that a new album from his collaborative band which features Slash, is in the works.
The musician, who formed the band, Slash and Myles Kennedy and The Co-Conspirators in 2010, went on to release four albums, including 2012's 'Apocalyptic Love', 2014's 'World Of Fire', 2018's 'Living The Dream', and 2022's '4'.
The band formed shortly after the release of Slash's debut solo album.
Now, it appears like the band are to release album number 5, with Myles Kennedy speaking about this possibility, as well as adding that writing the material had started before he embarked on his solo tour last month.
In this interview, Myles Kennedy has said that the material written for this album “is really exciting stuff”.
“The easy part is the recording; the hard part is the writing", Kennedy said.
He continued: “[Slash] was sending me demos of the tunes. Then I was spending time with him, coming up with melodies and lyrics. And so that’s all done — I think with the exception of one song. Now I just have to find a moment to get in the studio and all that, knock that out".
“But I will say that just even in the demo process and where we stood there before they went in to actually make the record musically, it is really exciting stuff. I’m really, really stoked about where this one’s going. It’s gonna be cool".
Back in May, Myles Kennedy and Slash performed a show in Paris, where they were joined on stage by Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of the late rock legend Eddie Van Halen.
Van Halen, whose band supported Kennedy and Slash throughout their tour, joined the band for a live over of AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell'. Check this out and Nova's report on this here.
