Neil Young & Crazy Horse have confirmed that they will make a return to the stage after being forced to cancel several shows from the tour due to illness.

The band cancelled remaining shows of their tour, after some members fell ill following their show at Detroit’s Pine Knob, forcing them to take a “big unplanned break”.

Despite pulling the plug on remaining tour dates, Young confirmed that himself and the band will return to the stage in September, including performing this year’s edition of Farm Aid at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York on September 21.

Tickets for this show will go one sale on Friday (July 26). You can purchase them via this link here.

“WE HAVE HAD A BLAST” – Young

Last month, Neil Young confirmed that original shows were cancelled via his Archives website.

“The ‘Love Earth’ tour has been a great experience for us so far. GREAT AUDIENCES AND MUSIC. WE HAVE HAD A BLAST!”, the band said. “When a couple of us got sick after Detroit’s Pine Knob, we had to stop,” the band writes. “We are still not fully recovered, so sadly our great tour will have a big unplanned break”.

They also added: “We will try to play some of the dates we miss as time passes when we are ready to rock again! We know many of you made travel plans and we apologise for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Health is #1. We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you… and for us”.

News of this comes months after Neil Young had previously confirmed his return to Spotify, after Apple and Amazon picked up Joe Rogan’s much maligned podcast.

Confirming this news, Young wrote: My decision comes as music services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I opposed at Spotify. I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did with Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all”.
