It has been recently announced that Neil Young will be coming to Ireland next year. Young has announced that he will be playing dates in Dublin and Belfast in 2016.
Young and his new backing band Promise Of The Real will take to the stage at The SSE Arena in Belfast on June 7 and Dublin's 3Arena on June 8 2016. Their date in Belfast marks the first time that Neil Young has ever played in Belfast.
He released a new album earlier this year called The Monsanto Years with The Promise Of The Real being the backing group. Young recently stated that he is loving the new tour and feels energised with the new band.
A statement on his Facebook page recently read "Thanks to Promise of the Real for making this tour such a wonderful experience in my life. I love all the bands I have played with, but this band (and the multi generational thing) is epic!"
Young continued by saying "The #RebelContentTour was an experience I will never forget. Once in a lifetime. The guys, Lukas, Micah, Corey, Tony and Tato are the greatest!"
Tickets for Young's Dublin and Belfast 2016 gigs go on sale on Friday December 19 at 9am from usual outlets nationwide.
