The Central Bank’s expecting big interest in a new 100 euro gold coin, that’s being issued to mark the centenary of the First Dáil.

It’s thought the coins could go for up to 800 euro per piece.

The Bank’s also issuing one million specially designed 2 euro coins, with the words “Chead Dáil”.

The new coins will be officially launched later this month at the Mansion House in Dublin – where the first Dáil was held.
