New John Lennon documentary, 'Borrowed Time' is to be premiered at London's Cine International Film Festival next month.

Directed by Alan G Parker, the film will be shown at this event, which takes place at the venue from May 7 to 10. It will include the first screening of the biopic on May 9. Parker will also be available for an exclusive talk after the screening.

A synopsis for this film reads:“Follow the legend as he evolves beyond The Beatles, creating revolutionary music and standing at the forefront of anti-war protests that would make him one of the most influential pop culture icons of all time".

“For the first time ever, the full story of how John and Yoko met is revealed and watch as the curtain is lifted on the 1981 comeback tour that never came to be", a logline adds.

Borrowed Time will also feature archive footage, as well as previously unseen interviews and eyewitness accounts who will offer insights into the final decade of Lennon's life.

Tickets for this event, as well as the premiere of 'Borrowed Time' are available now. Find out more on this here.

In other news, Irish actors Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan are to star in a set of upcoming Beatles biopics directed by Sam Mendes, with Mescal to play Paul McCartney, and Keoghan portraying Ringo Starr. Actors Harris Dickinson will play John Lennon, and Joseph Quinn playing George Harrison.
