New Order have released a new limited t-shirt in support of CALM, (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a mental health charity for the third year in a row.
The new t-shirt is to honour Blue Monday, the third Monday in January, which is deemed the "most depressing day of the year". It is also inspired by their 1983 hit of the same name.
In fact, this latest t shirt will feature lyrics from that original track, “I find it so hard to say what I need to say”.
This also marks the third time that New Order have joined forces with the charity to release a new t shirt, having previously released Blue Monday t shirts in 2023 and 2024.
Speaking about their latest launch, New Order once again emphasised the importance of reaching out to someone if you are experiencing personal struggles.
“Starting a conversation with somebody could be the most important conversation that person ever has. It could be life-changing", the band said.
They added: “We feel, as CALM ambassadors, we have the perfect lyrics and message to get out there on the 2025 edition of the CALM Blue Monday t-shirts,” they continued. “And knowing that all the money raised will help make sure CALM are there for even more people who are struggling makes it even more powerful".
T shirts cost £29.99 each, with £10 from each purchase going towards CALM. You can get your hands on the latest edition of the t shirt here.
In March 2023, New Order also launched a new range of special merchandise, including two t shirts, to mark the 40th anniversary of 'Blue Monday'. More on this from Nova here.
