Master of the maudlin and the macabre Nick Cave and his fellow bad seed Warren Ellis have released two tracks from the forthcoming filmscore for Halle Berry’s new film ‘Kings‘. They are available to listen to below.
The Bad Seed and Grinderman bandmates have created several film scores and soundtracks together before, the most recent composition, the filmscore for the movie Wind River that was released last year.
The duo, have written the complete soundtrack for Kings, and have shared two tracks ‘Saying Goodbye’ and ‘Waking Up’. The moody and ethereal tunes will be released as part of a 16-track album on April 27, via Milan Records.
Released in 2017 Kings is written and directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven. Alongside Berry the film stars Daniel Craig. It was screened at the Torino Film Festival in Italy ahead of its general release this Spring. The romance follows the story of a South Central recluse who helps a woman’s working-class mother during the 1992 civil unrest in Los Angeles.
