Noel Gallagher has revealed how his mother Peggy reacted when she heard the news that he and his brother Liam had announced an Oasis reunion.
Earlier this year, Oasis had announced a run of reunion shows earlier this year, which will take place in 2025, including two shows at Croke Park, Dublin next August.

My mum “never gave a s***” – says Gallagher
Noel Gallagher was speaking as part of a new event at the National Portrait Gallery, where he revealed that his mother “couldn’t give a s***” about the band’s upcoming comeback.
“My mum never gave a s***, never. You know what Irish mums are like?”, Gallagher said. “When we told her we were getting back together, she said, ‘Sure, that will be nice’. That was it”.
The guitarist does hope that she can attend one of the stadium shows next year.
Referring to the band’s shows in Croke Park next August, Gallagher said: “We’ll try and get her to Dublin”.
At the same event, Noel Gallagher had insisted tat these upcoming shows will not see Oasis behaving “as raucous as back in the day”.
The musician was asked if he and his brother Liam will be as wild as they were during their heyday of the 1990s.
“No, it won’t be as raucous as back in the day, because we’re on the wrong side of 50 now, so we’re too old”, he said.
He added: “We’re too old to give a shit now, so there won’t be any fallouts, there won’t be any fighting. It’s a lap of honour for the band”.
