Noel Gallagher has openly criticized Adele’s new album with a collection of snide remarks. In a new interview with the Telegraph, Noel had some disparaging words about her music.
Noel Gallagher was quite blunt when asked about Adele, saying “If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll f**king tell them… I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. I don’t like her music. I think it’s music for f**king grannies.”
He continued by saying her new album is part of a “sea of cheese” that is ruining modern music. Noel Gallagher added that as a whole “Music has nosedived into f**king blandness.”
The remarks from Noel come after Adele’s new album 25 recently broke the Official UK Album Chart record for the fastest million-selling album. Interestingly enough, it replaced Oasis’ Be Here Now as the fastest selling album in UK Chart history.
Noel was clearly frustrated with the line of questioning since he always seems to be asked the same question. Noel said “It is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go. Lately, the one I’ve been asked about is Adele.”
