The producer of Noel Gallagher’s new album has spoken recently about how it is coming along. Speaking in a new interview, producer David Holmes described the album as “fun”.
In an interview with Gigwise, Holmes said that he thinks “people are going to be surprised” by the feel of the new record. In terms of where they are on the album he said “It’s going really good,” adding that “We’re a good bit into it now, we’ve got nearly five tracks done now.”
He continued by saying “I think people love Noel Gallagher and they’re desperate for him to make a really big, bold, uptempo beast of a record – a lot of Noel’s music is quite mid-tempo. This one is quite fun.”
In terms of the sound of the new Noel Gallagher album he said “It’s not for me to say what it sounds like, it’s his record – I’m just helping him try to realise a different way of working and stuff. You’re going to have to wait and see. He’s a brilliant guitar player, and he’s really getting into guitar pedals and stuff. He’s got two great ears.”
