NOVA INCREASES WICKLOW LISTENERSHIP BY 20%*
Radio Nova is toasting its latest listenership radio ratings figures for Wicklow after receiving a significant boost in the number of people tuning into the new station each week. The ratings, which surveyed radio listening in Co. Wicklow for the most recent 12-months up to the end of March, give Nova a 20% increase in weekly listenership in Co. Wicklow*, when measured against national stations, 4FM and local station East Coast FM.
The increase is the latest in a sequence of good news for the radio station, which launched just over two years ago and broadcasts to North Wicklow from Bray Head, covering Bray, Greystones, Kilmacanogue, Enniskerry and Blessington.
Pointing to the latest results, CEO Kevin Branigan said, “This is a great result for us and indicates the strong appeal of Radio Nova to people in Wicklow. We’re growing in a very competitive market-place and this is a reflection of the investment we ‘re making in our marketing and programming”, he said.
Radio Nova broadcasts to Dublin city, county and commuter belt, including Wicklow, Kildare and Meath. The station is backed by businessmen Dermot Hanrahan, Des Whelan and Maurice Cassidy as well as Branigan. Nova offers a diet of ‘guitar-based’ music from The Killers, Coldplay, The Kings of Leon and the Foo Fighters to David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac.
