Nova Xtra on DAB Radio

DAB is a new radio waveband in Ireland - one that runs alongside FM radio. It offers listeners access to a wide variety of radio stations and format styles, all presented on the DAB radio band.

The majority of radio listeing in Ireland takes place on the FM radio band and can be received via car radios and radios in houses, while many people use their smartphone, pc/laptop, TV or smart speaker. 

Radio Nova is one of the pioneers of DAB broadcasting in Ireland and, as the leading music radio service in the Greater Dublin area, has been one of the radio stations involved in the testing of the new DAB network. Now, our new service, Nova Xtra, is  available on this exciting waveband to listeners throughout Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, Louth, Wexford, Westmeath and Longford.

You can receive Nova Xtra using any DAB radio - on your car radio or using a DAB radio, which are avaialble in many retailers. You can also listen to Nova Xtra online via the Nova.ie website or via your mobile or smart speaker via Alexa.
