Oasis’s 1994 album ‘Definitely Maybe’ was the fastest-selling debut in British history at the time of release. Now, as it turns 30, the album is headed to the top of the UK album chart. In fact, well ahead of their much anticipated Live ‘25 gigs, 3 of the Gallagher Brothers’ albums are in the Official albums chart top 5, for the first time in history.

The band’s compilation ‘Time Flies’ lands at number 3 with ‘What’s the Story Morning Glory’ hitting number 4. The ‘Masterplan’ and ‘Be Here Now’ are set to be back inside the Top 40 albums by mid-week, expected to land at number 35 and 37 respectively.

To date, ‘Definitely Maybe’ has spent a total of 556 weeks in the Top 100, and its newly released 30th anniversary deluxe version includes previously unreleased demos from the group’s original Monnow Valley and Sawmills Studios sessions.

Meanwhile in the singles chart, 1994’s ‘Live Forever’ is heading for number 1, set to pass out Chappell Roan a trio of Sabrina Carpenter hits. True to the lyrics, it seems Oasis albums might genuinely live forever.
