Classic Oasis hit ‘Wonderwall’ has been named the most streamed song from the 1970s to 1990s.
The song went on to become one of the biggest selling tracks of all time following its release in 1995, despite never actually topping the charts.
It reached number two on the official singles chart following its release by Oasis.
Now, according to the Official Charts Company, Oasis’ Wonderwall reached number one out of 300 of the most-streamed tracks in the UK from the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
Queen’s and Fleetwood Mac shared the rest of the top 5 between them, with Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Don’t Stop Me Now taking second and fifth spots respectively, with Fleetwood Mac hits Everywhere and Dreams coming in at third and fourth.

Supersonic
Last month, Oasis had confirmed plans to re-release their hit Supersonic as a physical single, to mark 30 years since its release.
Confirming this news, former Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher posted this message via Instagram.
“To celebrate 30 years of Supersonic, the original CD single and a limited edition pearl-coloured and numbered 7” release on April 12th, 2024″, he said.
‘Supersonic’ was the debut single from Oasis, which later featured on their maiden debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’, becoming one of their most successful hits. It was released on 11 April 1994.

Last March also saw Liam Gallagher say that he would love to produce another album with current collaborator and Stone Roses rocker John Squire.
The pair have already released their self-titled debut album, and are currently on tour together.
“I think it’s got legs, man. It could be a good thing, and it’d be rude not to do another album”, Gallagher said. More on this here.
