Ozzy Osbourne has ruled out a revival of his family’s TV series, ‘The Osbournes’.
Speaking in a new episode of his podcast show, ‘The Osbournes’, Ozzy has insisted that a TV series reboot will “never” happen “in a million years”.
This episode saw Ozzy speak to his wife Sharon, as well as daughter Kelly and son Jack Osbourne, about the impact of this reality series.
Having debuted on MTV in March 2002, ‘The Osbournes’ ended in 2005 after four seasons.
“unreal”
Speaking on the podcast show, Ozzy Osbourne insisted that the show will never be revived, admitting that it became more “unreal” as the show became increasingly successful.
“It’s so intrusive in your house”, Ozzy said. “At the time, I said I wanted a safe room where I could go and pick my nose and squeeze a zit if I want to without being on camera, and they had a f*****g camera in there. When you’ve got hidden cameras, you start to freak out”.
At this point, Jack Osbourne said that was the reason “why I don’t think we’ll ever do another season”.
“It won’t happen again. Never in a million years”, Ozzy stated, to which Jack replied, “To be honest with you, I don’t think it should”.
Earlier on, Jack had also asked the family if the show has a “positive or negative effect on everyone’s mental health”.
His sister Kelly commented that the show has a “massive negative effect”.
Speaking last week, Jack Osbourne has insisted that Ozzy will never tour again. More on this here.
