Pamela Anderson has said that she will "set the record straight" in a new documentary coming to Netflix.

Confirming this news, Anderson will open up about her past, with Netflix stating in a press release that the project has been in the works for several years.

This movie has also been described as an "intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson as she looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey".

Pamela Anderson shared a photo of a handwritten note on a Netflix letterhead when confirming the news via Instagram. She also signed the message, leaving a kiss print on the bottom.

"My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you — Not a victim, but a survivor & Alive to tell the real story", the note read. See the post in full here.

It will be directed by Ryan White. While it also emerged that producers will have access to Anderson's private footage and journals to create this film.

This news on Anderson, comes after Netflix announced the halting of future Russian shows, in light of their ongoing invasion of Ukraine. More on that here.

This project will also be produced by Pamela's son, Brandon Thomas Lee. Brandon's father is of course Pamela's ex husband and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.

A release date has yet to be announced.

Pamela Anderson On Pam And Tommy

This news comes after Hulu had released the documentary Pam & Tommy earlier this year.

The documentary details the relationship between the former married couple, as they went through a huge wave of destruction amid a sex tape scandal. The documentary's trailer had been released in January, while it premiered on February 2. More on this here.

The Pam & Tommy series tell the story of this famous sex tape involving the pair, twenty years after it had found its way to the world via VHS and Bootleg.

While Baywatch star Anderson has not spoken about the series publicly, it has been reported that she is not happy with it, as she was not involved in the production.

However, it appeared that her former spouse drummer Tommy Lee who was also not involved, was supportive of the series calling it a "beautiful story".

Tommy Lee has yet to formerly comment on the matter.
