Macca has intentions to fundraise for the homeless by playing an intimate and exclusive concert at Vicar Street in Dublin! It's been reported that McCartney was inspired by the unveiling of a plaque commemorating The Beatles’ two concerts in Dublin in 1963.

Harry Crosbie owns Vicar Street and told The Sunday World that he, “sent him a photo of the plaque and I got an answer back saying he was absolutely delighted.”

Crosbie also said that McCartney, 76, often plays “guerilla gigs” and admitted that Macca got back to him, “He came back to me and said Vicar Street is top of the list for the next one.”

Gig-goers will be asked for donations and all money raised will be used to help the homeless. No date has been set for the gig yet, but Mr Crosbie said he could get a call from the Beatles legend any minute, “because that’s the way he works”. Mr Crosbie told the press how the idea came to him when he got chatting with Paul’s daughter at a social gathering.

“I met Stella McCartney at a party in our artist friend’s London home.We discussed The Beatles’ connection with Dublin and the homeless situation in Ireland and the possibility of Paul doing a gig at Vicar Street with all proceeds going to help people on the streets.”

Mr Crosbie also said that presenter, Gay Byrne, has signed up to be MC at the Vicar Street gig as he was the first man to interview The Beatles on Irish Television in the 60s.
