Pearl Jam played their new single ‘Can’t Deny Me‘ live for the first time at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile this week and the video is streaming online.

Eddie Vedder spoke to the crowd in Spanish and dedicated the song to the survivors of the Parkland, Florida school shooting:

“This is dedicated to the incredible students in Florida, and the United States, who survived a terrible tragedy.”

Can’t Deny Me‘ is a preview to the band’s first new studio album in five years.

The Santiago show kicked off the band’s South American tour. Pearl Jam will also play Lollapalooza tours in Chile, Argentina and Brazil as well as a headline set in Rio de Janeiro. The 30 song set saw them cover Pink Floyd and The Who while they also dedicated the show to the late Chris Cornell.

The Seattle rockers will hit the continent in mid-June starting in Amsterdam on June 12th, travelling through Europe, taking in two shows at London’s O2 Arena and a rake of festival and headline dates along the way.
