Perry Farrell has apologised to his Jane’s Addiction bandmate Dave Navarro following their high profile physical altercation at a recent gig last week.
The band who returned with their original line up including Navarro and Farrell alongside Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins, performed in Boston last Friday (September 13), when a row ensued between the pair.
Tensions began to mount which led to Farrell shouting at Navarro, before shoving him, which halted the show.
The fight was broken up, and the lights came down as crew members and bandmates tried to restrain Perry Farrell and take him off the stage, which brought the show to an end.
Jane’s Addiction’s next show in Bridgeport was called off last Sunday, before the band eventually called off the remaining tour dates.
Farrell Issues Apology
Since then, Perry Farrell has since issued a public apology on his official Instagram stories.
“This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only that I apologise to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show”, he said.
“Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behaviour, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation”.

Previously, Navarro, Perkins, and Avery also shared another update regarding Farrell’s “mental health difficulties” as a key reason for their split.
“Due to a continuing pattern of behaviour and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour,” they wrote. “Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs.”
They also added: “We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets. We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis. Our hearts are broken. Dave, Eric and Stephen”.
