Pete Best a former bandmember of The Beatles, has transformed The Casbah Club, a place where the band began their musical venture, and turned it into a B&B where fans can stay.

The house which is a grade II listed Victorian mansion, was originally purchased by Best's mother Mona, keen to set up a members-only club for her sons and their friends, in order to socialise and listen to music.

At the time, The Beatles were known as The Quarrymen, and would have recorded and played music in the basement.

In fact, this house has the fab four's stamp all over it, as they would have helped to decorate the space, including John Lennon's carved signature into the walls with a penknife.

Book Into The Beatles Suite

Now, thanks to the work of Pete Best and his brother Roag, music fans can now book into this brand new B&B.

Speaking about the accommodation, Pete Best said that it was a "projection" of his mother's dream.

"The Beatles played here, The Beatles partied here and The Beatles slept here", he said.

These suits are named after the bandmembers Paul, John, George, Peter, as well as original bass player Stuart Sutcliffe, but not Ringo.

For example, the Paul McCartney Suite features pictures of the musician it's named after, as well as a replica of his guitar.

The first people to book such a room are Evelyn and Andy, with Evelyn saying that the Beatles are "almost like friends" to her. She also said that she attends Beatles-themed events and places whenever possible.

"Pete forever, Ringo never"

Elsewhere, Debbie Greenberg who ran the famous Cavern Club, another iconic venue where the Beatles performed in, recalls the time when Pete Best was dropped from the line up.

Best was subsequently replaced by Ringo Starr. And the rest is Rock and Roll history!

"Pete was a very good-looking guy and had a lot of followers. The word got round he'd been replaced by Ringo and we all started to chant," she said.

"We were all chanting 'Pete forever, Ringo never'. To be suddenly replaced, when they were on the verge of something big, must have been so soul-destroying for him. So, you know he deserves everything he's got today".

Earlier this month, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea has described Paul McCartney as the "greatest rock bass player". More on this from Nova here.
