The news of Tom Petty passing last night has shook everyone in music. In tribute, Coldplay, who were performing at the Moda Center in Portland last night, invited Peter Buck on stage to perform a cover of 'Free Fallin' in tribute to the late icon.
Petty, who was the lead singer of band The Heartbreakers, died last night after suffering a cardiac arrest and being rushed to hospital.
A minute's silence was held at the show before Buck joined Coldplay on stage for the tribute. The footage has been shared on Coldplay's twitter account. Watch below.
