An airline crew were left rather pleasantly shocked when they discovered an owl snoozing in a plane engine as they were carrying out pre-flight checks.
The team at Virgin Australia discovered the animal as the plane was undergoing checks at Melbourne Airport.
The airline shared photos on Twitter of the owl snoozing in the engine, saying: “This owl didn’t give a hoot where it napped!”.
Perhaps they could call the company Virgin Owlines!…anyone? I’ll get my coat.
This owl didn’t give a hoot where it napped! The cute little guy was found during our pre-flight checks. Our team of engineers rescued it & was assessed before being safely released back into the wild. Where’s the strangest place you’ve woken up? #HootHoot pic.twitter.com/1NEx9usRfu
