Countless passengers have been left angered owing to at least an hour long queue at Dublin Airport passport control.
It’s reported that queues in Terminal 1 are going all the way back as far as the corridor from the gates.
On a busy Bank Holiday Monday, the fiasco has been labelled a “shambles” by one passenger who is presently stuck in the queue at the international airport.
This is the queue for passport control at Dublin Airport. It’s literally backed up all the way up the escalators and down an entire corridor. A mortifying shambles. pic.twitter.com/uc4gYMK6ZM

You can blame the INIS all you want, but how is there not better coordination on both sides? This is genuinely embarrassing, it’s a bank holiday weekend, and also, how have the electronic booths not been resolved yet? pic.twitter.com/gcIkcEjbIK

Many images have been posted by frustrated passengers who are in the queue, some with young children. One mother took to social media to explain that she was stuck with her three-year-old for at least 45 minutes.
According to Dublin Live, the woman said: “At least 45 minute queues for immigration in terminal 1. With a three-year-old. On a bank holiday. Unexpected? Or poor planning by the airport?”
Hey @DublinAirport get your act together. This is ridiculous pic.twitter.com/PTUnNZe9HW
