The rock-themed crazy golf course was created by Christina Vitagliano, founder of Monster Mini Golf, whose husband was a KISS fan.
The designer began asking everyone and anyone if they had a connection to Gene Simmons and eventually discovered a contact with a number for his attorney. She made a call and heard back within a day.
When the course first opened its doors, KISS co-founding members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and band members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer were all in attendance. Gene Simmons said at the opening,
“Where else can you go play a round of KISS By Monster Mini Golf and then renew your wedding vows in an official KISS ‘Hotter Than Hell’ Wedding chapel? Only in Vegas.”
According to Atlas Obscura, attempting the course is “like falling into a dream world illuminated with unique glow-in-the-dark features and high-tech videos.”
To focus the mind there is reportedly a live DJ blaring nonstop KISS music and hosting various contests. The course is also replete with authentic KISS props that adorn the space.
The bizarre mini-golf course was originally opened in premises just off the Las Vegas Strip, but four years later in 2016 it relocated to a facility formerly occupied by the Rio’s Village Seafood Buffet. Thus ensuring many more crazy nights!
