Liam Gallagher has shared a post of a Manchester billboard on social media. Beneath a short blurb that celebrates Manchester City football club’s domestic treble win a short statement reads:
“It’s coming round like a Shockwave – Liam Gallagher.”

The NME reports that although there’s no official word just yet, it’s fairly certain to say that ‘Shockwave’ will be the first release from the former Oasis frontman’s second solo album.
Followers on Instagram also spotted a post that depicts a crowd with a banner that simply says “7 June”. It seems that this will be the release date when the first single makes the light of day.

The news comes as LG revealed that his new record is now officially complete! Speaking to the NME, Gallagher humbly said of the forthcoming record:
“it’s mega. if you look at ‘definitely maybe’ and ‘what’s the story (morning glory)?’, one’s the more punkier one and one’s the bigger one. that’s progression. people aren’t gonna be disappointed with it. i think it’s gonna blow people away.”
